Description:

The project was aimed at increasing tolerance and acceptance of diversity in students and teachers from isolated schools and community leaders. The project ensured maximum engagement of community leaders’ in collective peace building activities like meetings. Peace dialogues, social actions, exchange visits, social media campaigns, diversity tours, conference etc. The project involved into formation of 09 peace corners and undertaken the 04 already developed peace corners during KCD-088. During the project, 130 Alama (Non-Mainstream Scholars) and 405 students were trained on CVE. About 5040 people were engaged in peace activities through Social Action Projects and Diversity Tours. Moreover, the project involved engagement of religious leader in Media Campaigns on CVE and peace building. Regular meetings of Karachi Intersect Peace Forum are conducted throughout the project in which non-mainstream scholars from different sects and school of thoughts mutually exchange their learnings on peace building and interfaith conflict resolution.
