SANJH PAKISTAN has adopted SDG-01 (No Poverty) as one of its major thematic focus area with a faith to end poverty in all its forms and manifestations, to graduate the poor from their existing stage and to bring the poor out from economic shocks and crises through; their livelihood Development‎, Enterprise Development, Skills Development ‎and Business & Linkages Development with a special focus on women economic empowerment.

1-Bazm-E-Niswan (Women Assembly)

SANJH Pakistan established 20 Peace Skill Centers in each selected non main-stream school of ‎Banbosan (Multan) and Ahmadpur East on 1st December, 2021. Below are the details of each Peace ‎Skill Center in Annexure 11).‎

SANJH Pakistan team established “20-Peace centers” under the Grant-PCD097 (Bazm-e-Niswan) ‎from of which 08 peace centers has been established in 5-UC’s of Banbosan (Multan) and 12-Peace ‎centers have been established in 5-UC’s of Ahmadpur East (Bahawalpur). The objective of ‎establishing peace skill centers was to engage the females of different sects so they can sit together ‎as well as they can learn stitching and talk about peace and tolerance. SANJH Pakistan provided 05-‎sewing machines in each peace center along with all the stitching & embroidery material and 02 ‎sitting carpets. IP was required to train 450 females in 15 peace skill centers including(30 females in ‎each peace skill center), while having 5 extra peace skill centers, SANJH Pakistan engaged 610 ‎female participants to develop the stitching skills of local community females and to train them ‎about peace and tolerance and aware them regarding acceptance of diversity.‎‎

2-Five Peace Skills Centers (Women Economic Empowerment)

During execution of the project “Women for Peace Leaders in Bahawalpur” Sanjh Pakistan established five peace centers in 05 UCs in this project. The basic aim of these peace Centers was to provide a platform where females of diverse background could sit together without any segregation of sectarianism and linguistic difference using the tool of sewing and embroidery centers to the underprivileged women who wanted to do course in sewing. Sanjh Pakistan team briefed them about the selection criteria of females to form women group.‎

Craft Exhibition

Sanjh Pakistan’ team has successfully conducted Five Craft Exhibitions in Ahmed Pur Sharqia East’ five targeted UCs as 45-Mehrab Wala, 42-Ali Kharrak, 56- Kotlah Musa Khan, 41-Mubarak Pur, 48-Khuda Bux Mahar on the dates of 24th to 28th February, 2020. Craft Exhibition activities provided a display place to the female of peace skill centers, who made items for showing and presenting their works so that they could get popularity among the folks of their community. 523 participated in the Crafts exhibition. 3-Women Aman Crafts Exhibition:

In the project Women as Peace Emissary, 05-Crafts Exhibitions were organized. Women head teachers of all targeted madrassas organized five cultural exhibitions with ‎the support of Sanjh Pakistan for showcase their local and traditional skills. The target of ‎beneficiaries in each (was of 100 and Sanjh Pakistan targeted beneficiaries in those five ‎craft exhibition were 526 females. Five groups of diversified females (including six females ‎in each group) were assigned one week ago to make the local things of ‎embroidery and on the day of Craft exhibition they displayed their local skills with the ‎masterpieces of their crafts like local embroidery, chapatti-serving plates (changair), ‎handmade fans, and baskets.‎
